“Yea, come unto Christ, and be perfected in him” (Moroni 10:32).

YW Camp is to be "a place where they can gather together, separate from worldly influences, feel the Spirit of the Lord, grow in unity and love, and strengthen their faith and testimonies of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ." - YW Camp Guide

We are grateful for our YCLs (youth camp leaders), adult leaders, and parents for all their help and support to plan and prepare for camp.  Liahona is a beautiful Church owned camp and we are lucky to be able to have a little get away there this summer.

Camp is Wednesday, August 9th - Saturday, August 12th.  (YCLs will be begin on Tuesday, August 8th.)

ARRIVAL for levels 1-4 will occur at Liahona between 9am-10am on Wednesday; we encourage you to carpool with others coming from your ward/branch.  Everyone arriving on Wednesday will need to bring their own packed lunch.

Parent arrival for Camp DEPARTURE will be at 11am on Saturday, again we encourage you to carpool.

Please REMIND your YW of the following:

  • There can be NO staples, tacks, nails, etc. used to hang anything in or on the cabins.
  • There is to be NO writing of names or other graffiti in cabins or on other structures.
  • There can be NOTHING sprayed or wiped on the tents; this includes deodorizer, bug spray, etc..
  • There can be NOTHING except bodily fluids and toilet paper put down any of the toilets; this includes lime, mulch, wipes, tampons, pads, trash, etc.

(We will be financially responsible for damages done to cabins, tents or rented flushing toilets.)

Other REMINDERS:

  • CELL PHONES  may not have good service.  Please download scriptures prior to camp or bring scriptures for personal, daily scripture study time.  Cell phones will be collected at 10pm nightly.  Leaders will have phones; please leave yours at home if you are worried about it or otherwise not needing it (camp is a time to disconnect from the world and connect to God and nature).
  • SWIMSUITS should be one piece or tankinis.  Bikinis, sports bras, or halter tops will need to be covered by shirts while at the lake.  Please be prepared if you choose to go swimming or sunbathing at the lake.  If you are experiencing difficulty obtaining appropriate swimwear that you are comfortable with, please contact us (your camp leaders), your YW leaders, or your Bishop/Branch president.  We want you to feel good about dressing modestly and maintaining this dress code while at camp.  Thank you.

Secret Sister Gifts

  • The YCLs would like to do secret sister gifts again this year.  Assignments will be made randomly within levels.
  • We encourage YW to be thoughtful in what they share with each other.  Gifts can be homemade or purchased.  Please limit total spending over the 3 days to under $6.  They will need to have 3 gifts; one for Wednesday, one for Thursday, and one for Friday.
    • (Example: a YW could get her secret sister a pack of gum for $2, a lotion for $4, and make a book mark for free....these would be the 3 gifts given at camp.)

(Keep in mind that it will be hot and gifts of chocolate will melt.)

If you didn't get to fill out a Secret Sister form, doing so will help your secret sister know a little bit about you before camp.  Please print and fill one out, then text a snapshot of it to Sister Sherfey at 717-676-8748.  Thanks!
